My Grandma was a very wise and a very shrewd lady.  She was firm but fair, not particularly affectionate (none of us are!) but we all know she loved and cared for each of us.  She has taught me a lot and I have no doubt that I am the strong, independent woman I am today because of her and my Mum. 

When I phoned her cousin Ivor in Devon to tell him that she had passed away I was telling him that we had to pull Grandma out of a flat purchase she had tried to make.  I said something about telling an estate agent where to go, they'd taken too long, and he said “Ooh you sounded just like your grandmother then!” 

I will never know as much her, nor have the life experiences that she had but she is a part of who I am - thank you.
